+ Design in the Wild: Health.com’s redesign and why you’ll love it

See what's new

Health.com recently redesigned their site and while I’m by no means a regular reader, the first time I went to the site I saw this big callout inviting me to see why I’d like the new site.

I think often people struggle with making sure people “get” what they’re offering (particularly after they’ve spent a bunch of money on a redesign) and I think this straightforward approach is perfect.

Also, providing a limited (read: easily digestible) list makes me (someone who’s never been to the site) curious and want to see what changes/additions they’ve made that they’re proud of enough to call them out like this. Well done.

As an aside, after actually clicking on the link, I wish they would’ve done a better job visually numbering out the items in the list (i.e. “1. Big change blah blah blah…, 2. Second big change …). I think when people come to a list, they expect to be able to scan down to the items and get the gist quickly. Without that, its not really a list is it?

Check out the new site here.
